Hawzah News Agency- Jamiat Al-Zahra University Chancellor Mrs. Seyyedeh Zohreh Borghei and accompanying delegation visited the International Islamic University of Karachi on the second day of their trip to Pakistan after the third regional gathering of Pakistani alumni organized by Jamiat Al-Zahra University alumni office and met with the managers and officials of this institution; They had a scientific meeting and discussion.
In this meeting, Maulana Noorani, known as Sheikh Al-Hadith in Pakistan, welcomed the Iranian delegation and stated that the International Islamic University of Karachi is a Sunni university and said,” This university has been operating in the last 60 years and all its scholars are women.”
He pointed to the history of this university and its management by women, including Dr. Farideh Ahmad, the sister of Shah Ahmad Noorani, a member of parliament in the past years, and added,” Dr. Farideh Ahmad's family was a cleric and a Sunni scholar, and their service was in fact a scientific jihad to promote modesty and chastity of women in the society, now Mrs. Samieh, the daughter of Dr. Farideh, is the dean of this university.”
In this meeting, Mrs. Borghei, the chancellor of Jamiat Al-Zahra University expressing her satisfaction with the activities and great role of women in this university and stated,” The activities of this university are similar to what is being done for the growth and education of women in Jamiat Al-Zahra University in Qom, Iran.”
