Hawzah News Agency – The Custodian of Imam Reza Holy Shrine Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Marvi had a meeting with Karbala Governor Nasif Jassim Al-Khattabi and his accompanying delegation on Saturday, August 20, which was held in the presence of Khorasan Governor in the Holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH).
Hujjat al-Islam Marvi elaborated on the many cultural and historical commonalities between the two countries of Iran and Iraq and emphasized the need to expand and deepen the relations between the two countries in various fields; he also considered such mutual ties as a reason for strengthening the security and stability of the region.
Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi expressed,” The global arrogance and enemies of the two nations of Iran and Iraq do not want to establish a friendly relationship between these two countries and are trying to create discord between the two nations; their arrogant and colonial interests are creating a gap in relations and division between these two nations, Two big and powerful countries of the world which are Shia Muslims.”
Hujjat al -Islam Marvi considered the respect to the holy shrines of Iraq and Iran as the source of empathy, affection and friendship between these nations and stated,” the relationship between the two countries of Iran and Iraq is not a relationship based only on engineering, construction and economic interests, rather it’s one based on religious and spiritual beliefs.”
He said,” We consider the security, prosperity, and greatness of Iraq to be the security, prosperity, and greatness of Iran, and we consider it our duty to help this country to solve its problems if needed; this is not something from the position of supremacy, which is the attitude of The U.S. and colonialist countries, but also from a humanistic, religious and Shia position.”
In another part of his speech, Hujjat al -Islam Marvi, referred to the presence of millions of Hussaini pilgrims in the huge Arbaeen procession and the location of this procession in the hot seasons of the year; he suggested planting trees on the road from Najaf to Karbala to facilitate the pilgrimage of the Arbaeen and added,” During the hot seasons , the intense sun brings difficulties for the pilgrims; Therefore, planting trees on the road from Najaf to Karbala can facilitate the conditions for pilgrims to attend the Arbaeen procession.”
In this meeting, Nasif Jassim Al-Khattabi, the governor of Karbala also pointed out the achievements of his trip to Iran including the memorandums of understanding between the two cities of Mashhad and Karbala and said, "The conditions for expanding joint cooperation between the two cities of Mashhad and Karbala are available and we hope that we can take more steps towards the development of these two cities.”
