Hawzah News Agency- Senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli had a meeting with a group of students and professors of the seminary of Najaf during which he commemorated Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations and said, ‘The holy Qur'an is sacred and some honorable people can comprehend its deep meanings. If the Qur'an was revealed to the heart of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), it was because he had dignity. Dignity is not a position reserved for the prophets, but we can also achieve it as much as we can.
Grand Ayatollah Javadi considered the meanings of the Qur'an beyond human comprehension and acknowledged, ‘Some meanings of holy Qur'an are understandable to all, but some of its meanings and concepts are beyond human comprehension. Even the most comprehensible concepts of the Qur'an, if we can understand them, are because God gave us the capacity to learn them.’
Senior Shia scholar elaborated on the significance of research studies as duty of the students and stated, ‘We should carry out research. Before doing so, we should not say or write anything, so we need to become jurists and sources of emulation to write scientific articles regarding Islam. This is what the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) advised us to do.’
Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli highlighted the authority of Shia sources of emulation and said,’ sources of emulation have a high position of importance. The Iranian revolution was carried out by a Shia source of emulation and the people are not willing to sacrifice their blood except by the fatwa of senior Shia scholars, so we must respect the position of jurisprudence, sources of emulation as well as senior scholars.’
It should be noted that at the beginning of the meeting, the spokesman of the Iraqi group, conveyed the greetings of the Friday prayer leader of Najaf, Hujjat al-Islam Sadr al-Din Qabanchi, in the presence of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli and emphasized the cultural ties between Iran and Iraq stating that the martyrdom of General Qassim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandas was considered a sign of unity between the two nations.
