Hawzah News Agency- Sabah Allawi Al-Samarai, President of Samarra University, led a delegation of Iraqi professors and intellectuals during a visit to the city of Gorgan, where he met with officials of the Al-Mustafa University in Golestan province of Iran.
According to the report, the Iraqi delegation visited various parts of Al-Mustafa University representative in Golestan, such as higher education center, the Center for Language and Islamic Education, and the specialized library of Islamic religions. The Iraqi delegation later participated in a joint meeting with Golestan representative officials to discuss educational and research issues.
During the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Husseini, the head of the representation of Al-Mustafa University in Golestan, elaborated on Al-Mustafa’s focus on promoting unity among religions in all educational, research and training programs of this prestigious institution and said, “Students from different religions and nationalities are learning sciences in Al-Mustafa International University.”
He invited Sunni students from Samarra and other Iraqi cities to continue their studies at higher levels in Golestan province of Iran, calling for the expansion of scientific interactions between the two academic centers.
At the end of the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Husseini officially invited the President of Samarra University to participate in the International Conference on Human Rights, which will be hosted by the Golestan representation this year; The Shia cleric also announced the Golestan Representation's full readiness for scientific and research cooperation with Samarra University.
The President of Samarra University Sabah Allawi Al-Samarai also expressed his satisfaction with his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran and his visit to Al-Mustafa University’s representative in Golestan and said, "We are very happy to have made this trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran and get to know Al-Mustafa University’s activities and programs."
