Dr Sabah al-Abbas visit al-Mustafa

The President of Samarra State University in Iraq Dr. Sabah al-Abbas met with the President of Al-Mustafa International University during his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the city of Qom.

Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi President of al-Mustafa International University received Dr. Sabah Al-Abbas in Qom on Saturday, May 28 and introduced the ongoing activities of their University and said, Al-Mustafa University is now a member of important international academic unions, including the World Universities Union, the Union of Islamic World Universities and the Union of Asian Universities.

Referring to the activities of the branches of Al-Mustafa University in different cities of Iran and other countries, Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi further said, “one of the characteristics of Al-Mustafa University is the acceptance of scholars from other Islamic sects, each of whom is studying religious sciences based on the teachings of their own religion. This approach is unique among all the scientific centers of the Islamic world.

Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi highlighted the significant national diversity of scholars of Al-Mustafa University and added, "Currently, students from 135 different nationalities are studying in more than 160 disciplines and scientific orientations in different levels. This trend will improve.

The President of Samarra University in Iraq Dr. Sabah al Abbas expressed his satisfaction with his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran and meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi. The Iraqi academic also praised the scientific and academic activities of Al-Mustafa International University around the world and said, “Al-Mustafa University has a very important role in promoting Islamic sciences well as humanities around the world and we’re proud of that.”

Dr. Sabah Al-Abbas considered the expansion of scientific relations between Iraqi universities and universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran very valuable and noted, “We hope that this trip will increase cooperation between Samarra University and Iranian universities and scientific centers, especially Al-Mustafa International University."
