Ayatollah Reza Ramazani

The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “In the liberation of Khorramshahr, Imam Khomeini (r.a.) saw divine support and power. Human beings must gradually come to this understanding. Imam Khomeini’s statement that ‘God liberated Khorramshahr’ has profound meanings, and it is worthwhile to talk about it a lot.”

Hawzah News Agency- On Monday morning, May 23, 2022, in the ethics class for the students of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, while pointing to the effect of being in a monotheistic system, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “When man is placed in a monotheistic system, he literally becomes monotheist. The status of monotheism is in three stages: monotheism in essence, attributes, and actions. The mystic reaches a stage where he reaches Fana (annihilation before God). He becomes Fani (annihilated) in the monotheism of actions and in the monotheism of attributes. So that he no longer sees himself, and thinks of himself as nothing. In the words of Imam Sadeq (a.s.), ‘I am the least of the least, and I am nothing more than a particle’. In this stage, man sees himself as mentioned.”

“Allāhu ʾakbar does not mean that God is greater than anything. Rather, it means that ‘God is greater than can be described’. If we say, ‘God is greater than anything’, in the words of Imam Sadeq (a.s.), we have limited God. Because we have considered God among the creatures. From this perspective, if man observes the universe and himself, and has a divine perspective, then he will analyze events more mutinously,” he added.

“From this perspective, the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) was a jurist, a moral figure, a teacher, a mentor, and a mystic who had a special view of every aspect of the world. Imam Khomeini (r.a.), as a mystic, saw the relation of God’s power in events everywhere. For him, there is no power over divine power. Rather, everything is His manifestations. In a monotheistic view, we should not say that both God and others have power. The power of others should not be expressed alongside the power of God. Because the power of God is an inherent power in His essence and equal to His essence,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to the flow of divine power in the world, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “In the Holy Quran, there are two points (about the divine power), one about the warriors, and the other about the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h). Addressing the warriors of Islam (in the war against the enemies), the Quran said that they were not who killed (the enemies), but God killed those tyrants, power-seekers, aggressors, and oppressors. Because the power of God was manifested there. While for the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), the Quran says that “you did not throw when you threw, but God gave you this power and will”. This perception is very important. Our teacher said, “God honored the Prophet here, saying that he did not threw, but He threw. This phrase is not mentioned in the Quran about (Islamic) warriors, rather God said this interpretation for the Prophet (p.b.u.h) out of respect.”

“There were many Mojahed and sincere people in Khorramshahr, and many were martyred during the liberation operation of this city. But in a mystical statement, Imam Khomeini (r.a.) said that “God liberated Khorramshahr”. God manifested power in the heart of a Mojahed and created such a power that the enemy became disappointed. This manifestation of power is sometimes with Takbir and sometimes with plans that come to the minds of the Mujahedeen. It is the divine power that God demonstrated and manifested,” he continued.

“In the story of the Prophet Moses (p.b.u.h), when he and his people entered the sea while the army of Pharaoh was after them, the Israelites addressed this divine prophet, “Everything is over and we will not be saved, and we will all perish”. Here, Prophet Moses (p.b.u.h) showed his monotheistic view and said, “Nothing is over for us, rather has just begun. God is with me and helps and guides me and shows and paves me the way”. Therefore, the sea was split and the Prophet Moses (p.b.u.h) and his people were saved. But when Pharaoh’s army reached the middle of the sea, they all drowned,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Imam Khomeini had the power of analysis. When there were superpowers in the Eastern Bloc and the Western Bloc, he said, “(they) cannot do a damn thing (against us)”. This was very important. We witnessed that these powers, despite all the conspiracies they used, could not defeat the movement of the late Imam. The late Imam saw the divine support and power. This is something that human beings need to comprehend gradually. Imam Khomeini’s statement that ‘God liberated Khorramshahr’ has profound meanings, and it is worthwhile to talk about it a lot,” he mentioned.
