Hawzah News Agency – Ayatullah Mohammad Mohammadi Reyshahri passed away today Tuesday (22 March 2022) at the age of 75 in Khatam al-Anbia Hospital in Tehran.
His eminence was a great scholar who has authored numerous religious books among which that are available in English are:
_ The Elixir of Love._
_ Are you Free or Slave?_
_ Children in the Qur’an & Sunnah._
_ Imam Ali (as)’s Book of Government._
The most profound of his works is «Meezan Al-Hikmah» which runs into 10 volumes - a collection of Quranic verses & traditions on numerous topics. An abridged version of this is available in English entitled «Scale of Wisdom».
Late cleric held various posts after the victory of the Islamic revolution & was a «former member of the Assembly of Experts» also one-time «intelligence minister» & «prosecutor general» of Iran. Until his demise, he was the «chief custodian» of the holy shrine of Shah Abdul-Azeem Al-Hasani (AS) in Rey, south of Tehran.
The demise of such a great scholar is a huge loss for the Ummah. We pray to Allah (SWT) to grant him with Maghfirat, elevate his status & place his noble soul in the proximity of the Ahlulbayt (PBUT).
