Hawzah News Agency –During the meeting that was held on Friday evening, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said, "We must provide cheap and easy pilgrimage for the people".
The President said, "People have expressed their love for Imam Reza (AS) and other infallible Imams with all the hardships that have occurred, and they come to visit with different means and different financial and economic conditions".
The President added, "In recent years, despite the problems caused by coronavirus, the love of pilgrimage has not cooled at all, and people have always tried to express their heartfelt devotion to Imam Reza and the Imams in various ways".
Referring to the suggestions of the working group to facilitate the pilgrimage and pay attention to its cultural dimensions, the President said, "It is necessary to have a clear and accurate statistical analysis in the field of pilgrimage so that we can follow up on the relevant matters".
Referring to the importance of the role of media and art in promoting the culture of pilgrimage, Ayatollah Raisi said, "It is necessary for the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Ministry of Tourism and the IRIB to have a more serious and effective attention to pilgrimage".
Stating that it is necessary to pay attention to the economy of pilgrimage, Dr Raisi said, "One of the things that should be done in the relevant working group is to identify how the ministries of culture and economy relate to this issue to determine what role each ministry can play in this regard".
The President added, "Cheap and easy pilgrimage requires a mechanism that all bodies must be activated in this regard to make this happen".
Ayatollah Raisi described the use of the capacity of people for cultural, social and economic activities important and said, "In different periods, people have been dedicated to pilgrimage and services to pilgrims, and now many investors and entrepreneurs are eager to participate in this".
