Hawzah News Agency – The merciful prophet of Islam, peace be upon him and his household says:

السَّلامُ تَحِیَّةٌ لِمِلَّتِنا، وأمانٌ لِذِمَّتِنا.

'The salutation of peace is the greeting towards members of our own creed, and an extension of safety towards people of other creeds living in Muslim lands.'
