Hawzah News Agency – The commander of the faithful, Imam Ali peace be upon him says:

لَأن اُهدِيَ لأخِي المُسلِمِ هَدِيَّةً تَنفَعُهُ أحَبُّ إلَيَّ مِن أن أتَصَدَّقَ بمِثلِها.

'Giving a gift to my Muslim brother that he would benefit from is more beloved to me than giving its like in charity.'
