Hawzah News Agency – The merciful prophet of Islam, peace be upon him and his household says:

المؤمن يَبدأ بالسَّلامِ، والمنافقُ يقولُ: حتّى‏ يُبْدأَ بي!

'The believer initiates the greeting of peace (salam) whereas the hypocrite says, 'Not until it is said to me first!' ۱۰
