Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran)- In an interview Hawzah News’ correspondent in Qom on Thursday, Hujjat al-Islam Mahmoud Rajabi, Vice Chairman of Imam Khomeini Research Institute, highlighted the issue of Palestine during this year’s Hajj rituals as a major concern in the Islamic world and said, “Certainly, one of the major objectives of holding Hajj is for Muslims around the world to gather and discuss the present issues of the Islamic world.”

“As a matter of fact, Hajj is regarded as a religious and political event during which Muslims discuss the ongoing problems and issues of the Islamic world; The issue of Palestine, as Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei has repeatedly said, is among the top priorities of the Islamic community and we must not let it be overlooked during this year’s Hajj ceremony.”

Vice Chairman of Imam Khomeini Research Institute further added, “In these critical times, one of the main concerns for Hajj organizers should be helping Muslims discuss the Palestinian issue and denounce the atrocities of the Zionist regime and their allies.”
