Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Ayatollah Alireza Arafi issued a statement on Thursday, June 8 to condemn the recent terrorist attacks in Tehran in which several Iranian citizens were martyred including the cleric, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mahdi Taqavi.

“Once again, the evil nature of imperialist powers has manifested itself through the atrocities of their takfiri puppets in the region; these groups targeted Tehran the capital of Iran and carried out their vicious terrorist attacks in the shrine of Imam Khomeini (ra), the founder of Islamic Revolution as well as in one of the buildings adjacent to the Iranian Parliament.” The statement read.

“This inhumane attack happened while the present conditions in the region are in favor of freed nations but against the totalitarian imperialist powers, their foot soldiers, blind takfiri groups and their timid sponsoring regimes that are at the verge of total annihilation by the powerful hands of Popular Islamic Resistance forces.”

“I strongly condemn the terrorist attacks in Tehran and offer my condolences on the martyrdom of several innocent Iranian citizens especially, cleric Sayyed Mahdi Taqavi to their families. I pray to Allah almighty for the victims of this attack and wish speedy recovery for the injured.” The statement concluded.
