Hawzah News agency (Qom, Iran) - Milad and Mahdi Sobhanipour are identical twins who are currently studying in the Islamic seminary of Qom, Iran; they had an exclusive interview with Hawzah News in which they shared some of their interesting life stories; some excerpts of this interview are presented below:
Hawzah: Would you please tell our readers where you are from.
Milad: We're from the city of Ardakan in Yazd province, our father is of Kurdish descent from Kermanshah province who immigrated to Tehran in his youth due to some reasons. Since we grew up in Yazd, we cannot speak Kurdish language.
Hawzah: How did you decide to enter Islamic Seminary and study religious sciences?
Mahdi: The fact that we are twins appealed to most people; once we were asked to serve in a mosque to recite Adhan (Muslims' call for prayer ); this led us to have a great friendship with the janitor of the mosque. Around the same age, we were actively involved in the religious mourning ceremonies and events that were held in our neighborhood; all these conditions encouraged us both to pursue an education in the Islamic seminary afterwards.
Hawzah: Would you please tell our readers about the photo requests you receive?
Milad: Since childhood, we've been receiving lots of photo requests from many people, they still continue today. Interestingly, everybody likes to take photos while standing between us. This is something all these photo requests have in common.
Hawzah: Do you feel happy about your being twins?
Mahdi: We are a kind of twins that are surprised when we see other twins like ourselves! Sometimes we encounter other twins and ask if they feel happy about their life special conditions and the fact that they are twins; some of them respond they don't like it. But the truth is, we are very happy about it and thank Allah almighty.
Hawzah: Thank your for your time.
End.
