Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli received a group of Bahraini clerics at Esra International Foundation in Qom on Saturday, January 29.

During the meeting, the senior cleric commemorated the Bahraini martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for their revolution saying, "We are followers of Imam Husayn (as), we must continue on the path of the Holy Infallibles (as)."

He further stressed, "Allah (swt) will help and protect us in this path; the same way he protected Iran's Islamic Revolution, led by the late Imam Khomeini (ra), to reach final victory. According to Islamic narrations and prayers, a corrupt territory does not become clean and pure unless by its people's uprising, resistance and martyrdom."

Addressing the Bahraini clerics, Ayatollah Javadi reiterated, "Allah (swt) says in the Holy Quran that if one takes a step towards reaching Him, Allah would reward their efforts ten times as much. That explains why we must take serious actions in order to protect Allah's religion because we are sure that He would help us greatly in return. Undoubtedly, he will reward your efforts in serving and protecting his religion."

Highlighting the importance of jihad and sacrifice for the sake of Allah, the Shia source of emulation stressed, "If one is afraid of death it's because they believe death marks the end of their existence, whereas Allah (swt) has said in the Holy Quran, ' Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned (29:57)'; considering this verse of Quran, we don't fear sacrificing our lives for the sake of Allah and His religion."
