Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Sobhani said,” Revocation of Sheikh Issa Qassim’s citizenship by Al Khalifa is unjustifiable by neither international laws nor religious standards,”

According to Hawzah News, Ayatollah Sobhani’s statement on condemning the revocation of Sheikh Issa, leader of Bahraini Shias of his citizenship by Al Khalifa said:

In the name of God, the most compassionate, the most merciful

For years innocent Bahraini Citizens have been subject to cruel harassments and repressive measures carried out by Al Khalifa regime whose actions , supported by Al Saud , are increasingly imposing more restrictions on Bahrainis’ freedom so much that Al Khalifa suppose they own Bahrain and its citizens. They even authorize actions such as granting citizenship to foreigners or stripping the native Bahrainis of their legitimate citizenship.

The Revocation of Sheikh Issa’s citizenship is unjustifiable by neither international laws nor religious standards. Furthermore, Bahrain belongs to the populations who have lived on this land for hundreds of years and no one can strip them of their legitimate rights.

Instead of respecting their citizens’ rights according to international laws as well as religious and logical reasons, Al Khalifa regime goes on to murder and arrest Bahrainis, it even revokes their citizenship hoping to silence their calls for justice.

Let’s hope for a day when the proud nation of Bahrain reclaim their legitimate rights and administer justice for their oppressed leaders.
