Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Tahzib al-Hassan Razavi made the remarks in his Friday prayer sermons at Jafariya Mosque in the city of Ranchi in India's Jharkhand state.
He said the US and the Zionist regime, relying on military might, sought to change Iran's system, but Iran demonstrated that the real authority of nations lies not in advanced weapons but in faith, will and resistance.
In his first sermon, Razavi noted that God is the Concealer of faults, saying that despite full knowledge of His servants' deeds, God conceals many of their flaws. Muslims, therefore, should strive to reform, show goodwill and guide one another rather than expose each other's slips and shortcomings.
The Friday Prayer Imam of Ranchi criticized the spread of a culture of character assassination and self-promotion, saying that unfortunately some people today seek to humiliate others and prove their own intellectual and scientific superiority instead of cooperating and building synergy. He cited the teachings of Imam Ali (AS) that considering oneself superior to others is a sign of ignorance and folly.
Referring to the teachings of Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), Razavi said that when one sees a believer's progress and success, one should thank God rather than feel envy or displeasure that a member of the Islamic community has attained a position of honor.
He noted that the true measure of human greatness and worth is not merely knowledge and wealth but good morals and worthy character and conduct. Those who strive for society's progress and serve the people deserve support and encouragement, not obstruction or character assassination.
In another part of his remarks, the Friday Prayer Imam of Ranchi spoke of the role of the pulpit and the mission of religious preachers, saying history shows that even in the past, when today's communication tools and media did not exist, the pulpit played an important role in raising awareness, guiding thought and reforming public morals — a mission that continues today.
He added that the essence of the pulpit's mission is to call people to truth, piety and good deeds, but such a call is truly effective only when the speaker himself adheres to what he preaches and serves as a practical model of religious teachings.
Turning to international developments and the US and Zionist approach toward the Islamic Republic, Hojatoleslam Razavi said America and Israel, relying on military power and a sense of superiority, sought to change Iran's political system. But Iran showed that true victory and success are not achieved merely through advanced weaponry — faith, strength of character, firm will and practical perseverance are the fundamental factors behind a nation's power.
He stressed that Iran's resistance revealed numerous truths on the global stage and conveyed the message that nations committed to the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) cannot be cowed by threats and military power alone.
The Friday Prayer Imam of Ranchi concluded by saying that if Muslims seek true dignity, progress and success, they must apply the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in their individual and social lives and learn from the Iranian nation's experience of faith, unity, resistance and steadfastness.
