The International "Martyred Leader" Poetry Night, held with 80 poets in attendance at the Grand Hussainiyah of Zanjan

The International "Martyred Leader" Poetry Night brought together 80 poets from across Iran, along with a number of poets from neighboring countries, at the Grand Hussainiyah of Zanjan. Twenty-five poets recited their verses in this literary gathering, in mourning for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Hawzah News Agency- The International "Martyred Leader" Poetry Night was organized by the office of the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the office of the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Zanjan Province, coinciding with the commemoration day of the great poet Hafez and the anniversary of the historic and memorable visit of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution to Zanjan. It was held in an atmosphere brimming with passion, spirituality, and devotion to the pure Ahl al-Bayt of Prophet Muhammad (pbut).

This cultural and literary gathering drew 80 poets and literary figures, among them prominent Azeri-speaking poets from Zanjan, Ardabil, East Azerbaijan, and West Azerbaijan provinces. It also welcomed poets from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Iraq, some joining in person, others sending their verse to be read in their absence.

Twenty-five poets recited verses in mourning for the martyred Leader of the Revolution — one of the notable and moving parts of the ceremony. Their poems, carrying themes of longing, devotion, loyalty, and a renewed pledge to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, filled the Grand Hussainiyah of Zanjan with feeling and spirituality.

One of the most poignant features of the poetry evening was the participation of poets who had long yearned for the opportunity to read their work before Martyr Imam Khamenei, but had never had the chance to do so. Having once hoped to share their poems with the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, they gathered at an event held in his honor and memory, reading aloud in his absence the very verses they had dreamed of reciting before him. It was a deeply moving and memorable part of the evening.

The ceremony was held in the presence of the representatives of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Zanjan, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, and Ardabil provinces, as well as the head of the office of the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Their presence underscored the transregional dimensions of the event and the importance of cultural, literary, and religious ties among poets and intellectuals of countries sharing a common civilizational and cultural sphere.

The special staging of this gathering was designed to evoke the intimate and spiritual meetings the poets had held with the martyred Leader of the Revolution, meetings that had always served as an occasion for the union of poetry, thought, faith, and the values of the Islamic Revolution.

Holding this poetry night at the Grand Hussainiyah of Zanjan, which had previously been the target of attacks by the criminal US and the Zionist regime, lent the event a symbolic dimension. The poets present, through the language of poetry, honored the memory of the martyred Leader of the Revolution and expressed their devotion to the pure Ahl al-Bayt of Prophet Muhammad (pbut) and to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.

The International "Martyred Leader" Poetry Night, with recitations in both Azeri and Farsi, was a manifestation of the empathy and solidarity of poets beyond geographical borders, a gathering in which the long-cherished dream of reciting poetry in the presence of the martyred Leader of the Revolution resonated once more, this time in verses overflowing with longing and separation, in memory of the martyred Leader.
