Hawzah News Agency- Analyses show that the continuation of the conflict could exacerbate inflationary pressure and further increase household expenses. Rising gasoline and diesel prices, a jump in mortgage rates, and slowing GDP growth are the main signs of this economic pressure.
According to published data, gasoline prices have risen 46% since the start of the war, diesel has surpassed $6 per gallon, and the mortgage rate has reached 7.28%. All these indicators show that the costs of the war with Iran have moved beyond the military battlefield to Americans’ tables and daily lives.
The $265 billion estimate, alongside figures such as $3.3 billion in damage to the US air fleet and rising military casualties, offers a more comprehensive picture of the economic and human burden of this war. Experts say the continuation of this situation could lead to a deepening recession, increased government debt, and a further decline in the purchasing power of American households.
