Prophet's Life a Model for Humanity
In his opening remarks, Seyyed Hassan Haidar, head of the Iranian Cultural Center in Nigeria, said the program was organized to celebrate culture, faith, and friendship among nations.
He described the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as a model for humanity, stating: "The world can draw lessons from the life and character of the Prophet of Islam, particularly in promoting peace, compassion, unity, and understanding among Muslim and non-Muslim countries alike, as well as in standing against oppression."
Nigerian Official Hails Growing Relations
Speaking on behalf of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Sayyeda Rahma Abdulmajid praised the strengthening of longstanding friendly relations between Iran and Nigeria.
She called for the further expansion of bilateral ties to enable both nations to benefit more from joint cooperation in cultural, economic, and religious spheres.
In an exclusive interview, Abdulmajid lauded the film directed by acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi and expressed satisfaction with the growing diplomatic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Nigeria.
She emphasized that her attendance at the ceremony on behalf of the Nigerian president was a sign of the friendly relations and strong ties between the two countries, noting that her presence was not personal but represented the federal government of Nigeria.
The Nigerian official also referenced her meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Nigeria in recent weeks, during which the two sides discussed measures that both governments could take to strengthen bilateral relations through diplomatic agreements and cooperation.
The ceremony, attended by diplomats and representatives from various nations, once again highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and engagement between peoples in fostering mutual understanding and advancing diplomatic relations among countries.
