Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a ceremony marking the auspicious birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS) in Karbala Nagar, West Bengal, the Sunni scholar and leader of the Qadiri Sufi order highlighted the profound significance of the "Jashn-e-Sadiqain" celebrations.
The gathering brought together Muslims who expressed their devotion through recitations of eulogies, alongside tributes to the virtues and noble character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Addressing the attendees, Qadri elaborated on the various dimensions of the personalities of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS), stressing the need to emulate their lives, ethics, and teachings.
"The life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the teachings of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS) can serve as a guiding light for Muslims in strengthening morality, spirituality, and social responsibility," he stated.
The Indian scholar further underscored the importance of unity and cohesion among Muslims, calling for the promotion of brotherhood, compassion, empathy, and peaceful coexistence.
"The ethical and spiritual teachings of Islam can play a vital role in spreading peace, spirituality, and mutual understanding in society," he added.
Qadri described the Jashn-e-Sadiqain gathering as more than a ceremonial event, calling it "an opportunity to revisit the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS) and to promote values such as love, peace, tolerance, brotherhood, and service to humanity."
He expressed hope that such gatherings would further strengthen the bonds of fraternity among Muslims and foster a culture of compassion, empathy, and peaceful coexistence throughout society.
The grand celebration in Karbala Nagar reflected the deep devotion of West Bengal's Muslims to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), demonstrating their commitment to honoring religious occasions.
The event centered on love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), adherence to his noble example, and emphasis on Muslim unity and brotherhood — values that can significantly contribute to social cohesion and the promotion of peace, spirituality, and coexistence in Islamic societies.
