Hawzah News Agency- the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has issued a statement announcing that memorial ceremonies for the martyred leader of Iran and his family will be held in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad.
The full text of the statement from the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution reads as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most High
Coinciding with the 40th day following the historic funeral and burial of the blessed body of Iran's martyred leader, commemoration ceremonies honoring that exalted leader and his family will be held under the auspices of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad.
The memorial ceremonies for the martyred commander, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, will take place as follows:
Tehran: Tuesday, August 18, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Grand Mosalla of Imam Khomeini.
Qom: Wednesday, August 19, following Maghrib and Isha prayers, at the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatima Masuma (peace be upon her).
Mashhad: Thursday, August 20, coinciding with the eve of the martyrdom of Imam Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him), following Maghrib and Isha prayers, at the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him).
The grateful people of Iran are invited to attend the commemoration ceremonies for the martyred leader.
The passionate and widespread presence of the Iranian people and devotees of the two Imams of the Revolution at the 40th-day commemoration of the martyred commander will serve as a renewed pledge of allegiance to the leadership of the Islamic Revolution and a reaffirmation of commitment to continuing the path of Iran's martyred leader.
