Hawzah News Agency- The scale of the setback has been reflected in particularly harsh assessments of the US role in the war. Israeli media described Washington as emerging from the conflict "ridiculous and humiliated", with the current defeat portrayed as even more severe than the US defeat in Vietnam.
Haaretz similarly argued that "from now on and in the days to come, the United States will shy away from any attempt to impose its will by force of arms".
The assessment of the war has also been shaped by Iran's ability to rapidly restore its military capabilities. The Jerusalem Post reported that Israeli officials have been stunned by the speed of Iran's military recovery, while the occupation forces have observed a rapid and striking shift in the threat posed by Iranian ballistic missiles.
Zman Israel described the prospect of another round against Iran as "futile", arguing that "the wars of the past can no longer serve as a model for achieving decisive victories".
