Thousands Rally in Berlin Calling for End to Gaza War

Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Berlin on Saturday in a mass protest expressing solidarity with Palestinians and calling for an end to the war in Gaza.

Hawzah News Agency- The protest began near the Wilmersdorfer Strasse metro station, where large crowds gathered before marching toward the city center, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans in support of Palestine.

Participants carried banners calling for an end to what they described as genocide in Gaza, the protection of civilians, the preservation of human dignity, and an immediate halt to the killing of children.

Demonstrators chanted slogans including “Freedom for Palestine” and accused Israel of targeting children. Some chants also referenced Friedrich Merz, criticizing the German chancellor’s stance on the conflict.

Protesters further declared, “This is not a war, this is genocide'', and emphasized solidarity by chanting, “We are thousands, we are millions, we are all Palestinians''.

In addition to Palestinian flags, some demonstrators raised the flags of Iran and Lebanon, protesting against recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on both countries.

The Berlin rally is part of a wider wave of demonstrations across European cities, as public opposition to the ongoing conflict in Gaza continues to grow.
