Students at Al-Husnah Islamic Elementary School in Jakarta have held a solemn ceremony to honor the memory of the young victims of the terrorist attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, southern Iran.

Hawzah News Agency- The commemoration took place on Wednesday, April 8, and featured poetry recitations, messages of condolence, and a symbolic tree-planting ceremony, through which the Indonesian students expressed their solidarity with the grieving families of the Iranian martyrs.

According to Iran’s cultural attaché in Indonesia, the event was attended by students, teachers, the school’s principal, the head of the Al-Husnah Foundation, the mayor of West Jakarta, as well as Iran’s cultural attaché and Ambassador to Indonesia, along with their accompanying delegations.

The ceremony began with students from Al-Husnah school presenting hand-written messages of sympathy addressed to the families of the Minab martyrs. School officials, the West Jakarta mayor, and the Iranian ambassador then delivered speeches, condemning the terrorist crime and underscoring the importance of unity and resistance against extremism.

In a touching display of grief and solidarity, the young students recited poems in praise of peace and in memory of their Iranian peers who lost their lives in the Minab attack. They also lit candles inside their classrooms, turning the school into a scene of quiet mourning and reflection.

The event concluded with a symbolic tree-planting ceremony inside the schoolyard, with each sapling dedicated to the memory of a young martyr from Shajareh Tayyebeh school.

The terrorist attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Hormozgan province, claimed the lives of several schoolchildren and left many others wounded.
