Hawzah News Agency- Located in the El Recreo district of Caracas, the Mosque can accommodate up to 3,500 worshippers at a time and attracts large crowds for daily prayers as well as during Ramadan and major Islamic holidays such as Eid al‑Fitr and Eid al‑Adha.
Beyond its role as a place of worship, the mosque functions as a cultural and educational centre. It hosts Arabic language courses, seminars on Islamic history and sciences, and various community programs aimed at fostering understanding and dialogue among people of different backgrounds.
Religious officials emphasise that the mosque’s mission includes presenting the message of Islam based on peace, moderation, and proper understanding, welcoming both Muslims and non‑Muslims interested in learning about the faith.
Overall, the Mosque not only serves Venezuela’s Muslim community but also reflects the country’s cultural diversity and religious coexistence within the broader Latin American context.
