Hawzah News Agency- In a statement marking the anniversary, the movement hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran, its “courageous leadership and free people,” saying the revolution was achieved through sacrifice, popular will, and resistance, restoring dignity, honor, and the historical role of the Muslim Ummah after a long period of marginalization.
The statement recalled that on February 11, 1979, “the dawn of freedom rose with the triumph of the people’s will over the tyranny of the Pahlavi monarchy,” a moment that altered the course of history. It said the victory demonstrated that the determination of nations can overcome despotic powers, instilled hope among the oppressed, and renewed confidence in their ability to bring about change and achieve genuine independence free from reliance on East or West.
According to the statement, the Islamic Revolution also presented Islam as a comprehensive model of governance, giving birth to the Islamic Republic of Iran as a sovereign and values-based state.
The Lebanese movement said that decades later, Iran and its resilient people continue to stand firm in the face of conspiracies, plots, and sieges aimed at extinguishing what it called a “bright Islamic experience.” It added that hostile forces remain focused on undermining the revolution, with the “Zionist-American axis” and its international, regional, and local instruments working relentlessly to weaken Iran’s stability and achievements and to push societies from “light into darkness.”
The statement said Iran remains targeted precisely because of its independent path and its support for oppressed nations, adding that sustained pressure, sanctions, and psychological warfare have failed to derail the revolution’s course.
In the concluding section, the Islamic Resistance Movement declared its full support for the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of current threats, stating that Iran today “embodies the role of prophethood in confronting the Pharaoh of the age”—a reference to what it described as Zionist-US power, personified in Donald Trump.
The statement concluded by reaffirming that Iran’s endurance and resistance have made it a central pillar in the struggle against arrogance and oppression, and a source of inspiration for resistance movements and free peoples across the region and beyond.
