The passing of the divine scholar Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Ali Nekounam Golpayegani "may God's mercy be upon him" caused great sorrow and grief.

This noble cleric authored valuable works with his sincerity, his high morals, and knowledge, practice, and education of his students.

I offer my condolences to the bereaved and students on the demise of this honorable scholar and I pray for the deceased.

Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam, an Iranian Twelver Shi'a Clergy, was born in a family with heavenly attractions and great spiritual states in Golpaygan on January 9, 1949. Since he was three, he was taught by spiritual teachers and distinguished masters of various fields, particularly, Islamic mysticism. Most of them used to live in Tehran and have been the top scholars of Iran.
