Hawzah News Agency- the honoring ceremony of Kurdistan province medal winners, coaches and referees in the world, Asian and international tournaments and the top sports talents of Iran was held in the presence of Hujjat al-Islam Abdul Reza Pourzahabi and the Governor of Kurdistan province at Fajr Complex in Sanandaj city on Sunday, February 4.

Hujjat al-Islam Abdolreza Pourzahabi said in a speech at this ceremony,” Without a doubt, if the officials in the field of sports and athletes and in related institutions interact well, we will witness more successes in the sports field of the province and the country.”

The representative of Supreme Leader in Kurdistan Province said,” Therefore, one of the things that should be considered by the authorities is to pay attention to sports, culture and artists.”

Hujjat al-Islam Pourzahabi added,” Today, the field of sports plays a vital role in the society, so we need the support of the authorities to strengthen and develop it.”

The representative of Supreme Leader in Kurdistan Province, continued his speech and said, "Iran won against the Japanese football team, and this showed the good and exemplary interaction and empathy between the athletes and coaches. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the dear people of Iran for this victory."

Hujjat al-Islam Pourzahabi stated,” I am fully prepared to follow up on sports matters and their problems and demands.

The representative of Supreme Leader in Kurdistan Province further noted that sports play an important role in reducing social harms, therefore paying attention to sports and athletes as well as sports facilities in the province should be one of the concerns of the authorities.
