Hawzah News Agency- a delegation of Tikrit University officials met and discussed with the Vice-Chancellors and officials of Qom University on Thursday, February 1.
This memorandum was signed in order to establish scientific and academic relations between the two countries and to improve the level of cooperation between them in scientific and cultural fields.
Part of the goals of this memorandum are the development of academic cooperation and the increase of mutual understanding between the parties, the exchange of technical expertise and scientific knowledge for faculty members due to their great importance in the progress and service to the society, the consolidation of scientific, academic and cultural ties between the two parties as well as holding exchange programs for faculty members and students in order to enrich the scientific, academic and cultural base of the parties, increasing cooperation between faculty members and graduate students, including supervision and development training programs.
The parties agreed to identify and carry out joint research activities, hold international conferences, conventions and workshops, hold short-term training courses and virtual courses in common fields, carry out scientific activities and encourage educational plans for graduate students and exchange members. The academic staff should also cooperate to spend a research leave in the relevant institutions.
It should be noted that Tikrit University in Salah al-Din province of Iraq is a public university that was established in 1978 and has more than 42,000 students in 32 faculties.
