Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Ebrahim Jakti, one of the prominent scholars of Ivory Coast, on the sidelines of his visit to the Islamic Language and Education Center, pointed out the importance of promoting the Persian language as the language of the revolution and Islam, and stated,” In Ivory Coast, people learn different languages, but none of them is effective to the extent of learning Persian language for their awareness.”
He considered French colonialism to be the cause of the isolation of the native language of Ivory Coast and said,” Due to French colonialism, the number of people who speak our native language now is very small and they mainly speak French. One of the reasons for Iran's progress in various fields is the effort to maintain independence and prevent the influence of foreign countries, which we should follow as an example.”
Appreciating the services of Al-Mustafa International University, Jakti noted,” Your activity in Al-Mustafa University is very valuable, which is followed at the same time as education and training. Of course, what is important is the institutionalization of Islamic education.”
He considered taking a step on the path of education as a success from the Almighty God and stated,” God willing, we also intend to carry out scientific and cultural activities in our country for the sake of the Imam of the Time (PBUH) and with the thoughts that we have in our heads. and in this field, seven Islamic centers have been established so far.”
In another part of the meeting, Mr. Faraji, the research assistant of the Islamic Language and Education Center, while welcoming Sheikh Ebrahim Jakti, said, " Mr. Sheikh Ebrahim Jakti's view is taken from the position of the Supreme Leader, because he says: "We have to reach a point where Persian is the language of science. It means that anyone who wants to learn the world's scientific articles should learn Persian. What can be inferred from Mr. Jakti's speech, which was very impressive to us and made us happy, is the concern and horizon that he had, and this view can also explain the statements and concern of the Supreme Leader.”
Mr. Khorasani, the vice president of education at the Islamic Language and Education Center, also stated,” Islam has taught us that we should always seek to learn the language of science. Like the Arabic language, which we proudly seek to learn, and we must come to the understanding that in order to know and introduce Islam, we must learn English, Persian, and Arabic.”
