Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Ali Nahavandi, director of the communication, art and media department of the Global Center for Jurisprudence of Pure Imams (PBUT) during a speech at the meeting called "Jurisprudence Thematic of Celebrity Phenomenon" held in the meeting hall of this center, emphasized the need for deep attention regarding the issue of celebrities and spoke comprehensively about the meaning and concept of celebrity in the new era.
“Celebrities use the media platform to gain wealth and fame, and according to the interpretation of some western experts, celebrities in our time are consumer oriented people in the modern world.” He stated.
The professor of Qom seminary also pointed out that there is a direct relationship between the celebrity and media, and said,” In other words, media and celebrity are two concepts connected to each other, because the life and downfall of each is dependent on the other. In fact, the fame of celebrities helps the media to make their content and news visible, and on the other hand, the media helps to raise more celebrities and, as a result, earn their double wealth.”
He stated,” It is not that we think the media should not provide the basis for fame, because this is the role of the media, which seeks to establish the authority of faces and celebrities, but nevertheless, the media can provide the basis for positive presence and activity including the exaltation of celebrities.”
“Based on this premise, I believe that seeking to negate and eliminate this phenomenon considering the scope of the media space is a wrong and practically unrealizable discussion.” Hujjat al-Islam Ali Nahavandi, director of the communication, art and media department of the Global Center for Jurisprudence of Pure Imams (PBUT) added.
Hujjat al -Islam Nahavandi also called for the investigation of various aspects of the influence of celebrities on people's lifestyles and issues such as marriage, childbearing, especially from a jurisprudential point of view, and called seminary and university thinkers to discuss and exchange opinions on this matter.
