Hawzah News Agency- During the meeting, ASEAN ambassadors visited the Higher Education Institute for International Languages and Cultural Studies in Al Mustafa University. The foreign delegation also paid a visit to the specialized library of the complex and talked to members and directors of the institute in order to become familiar with their current activities.
Following this meeting, another event was held in which the directors and founding members of the Institute participated.
In this meeting, Head of the Higher Education Institute for International Languages and Cultural Studies in Al Mustafa University, Hujjat al Islam Sajed elaborated on the activities of the Center in the field of linguistics and cultural studies adding that, this Institute enjoys the expertise and knowledge of 170 professors who are currently teaching as many as 1,200 students from 54 different nationalities.
He added, the best way to communicate Islamic thoughts and teachings to the world is through linguistic and cultural interactions; therefore, in our institute we offer a variety of Islamic courses including PHD courses which are being taught in 14 languages and we intend to improve the number of languages in which we offer these courses in future.
In the end, the head of the Higher Education Institute of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies of Al Mustafa University expressed hope that the ASEAN ambassadors visit will provide good preparations so that they can establish and offer courses in different languages, including Malay .
