A group of academic activists from the United States, Canada, and Austria met with Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli at Asra International Foundation in Qom and enjoyed his guidelines on ways to promote justice and peace around the world.

Hawzah News Agency- Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli met with university activists and professors from the United States, Canada and Austria.

The meeting was held at Asra International Foundationin in Qom during which the grand Shia jurist asserted, Everyone who travels somewhere, tries to take a good souvenir back to his city or country; I hope you will also try wisely to study Islamic knowledge at first and then make an effort to become familiar with the long history of the Muslims in the region.

The Grand Shia jurist then elaborated on the significance of learning Islamic values asking the international delegation present at the meeting to opt for accurate analysis of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the role of a knowledgeable Muslim leader in society as well as the comprehensive unity within the great nation of Iran, as they are the pillars of this country.

Grand Ayatollah Javadi then added, we all welcome you guests with open arms, and if there is any question, you could openly put it forward - God willing - you will receive a convincing answer and that answer will serve as the best souvenir to take back to your countries.

In this meeting, some of the professors had a Q & A session with Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.

One of the professors of American universities, while thanking and appreciating the opportunity to have been at the meeting, said that the purpose of his trip to Iran was to get acquainted with Iran, Islam, the culture of the Iranian people and especially the Shia school of thought. He also asserted that he would take the teachings of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli back to his country as a great souvenir of his journey.

Another American professor, referring to U.S. government’s violation of JCPOA and the imposition of tough sanctions against Iran, called this violation of the agreement a disgrace to the American people including himself, and asked Ayatollah’s opinion on the aforementioned issue.

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli also thanked this university professor and the accompanying delegation, stating that if one does not believe in a religion, he or she should at least express some sort of nobility or generosity, maintaining that it is necessary for a human being to always follow these two lessons: One must not go astray from the path of God and must not block anyone’s way to progress.

In the end, Ayatollah Javadi expressed his hope that this delegation would pack good memories and spiritual souvenirs from Iran in order to spread the message of peace and friendship from Islamic Republic of Iran to the world. He also wished the best for the mankind throughout the world.
