A person stabbing three clergymen in Holy Prophet courtyard of Imam Reza holy shrine, killing one and wounding two others, is a 21-year-old man with Uzbek origins named Abd al-Latif Moradi.

Hawzah News Agency – The assailant entered Iran illegally from the Pakistani border a year ago, settling in the shrine city of Mashhad. Unlike Sunni Muslims, Abd al-Latif Moradi has Takfiri ideologies and considers Shia Muslims as heretics who should be killed.

Six people accused of collaborating with Moradi, including his two brothers, have also been arrested by security forces and are under investigation now.
To commemorate memory of this diligent and popular cleric, Imam Reza holy shrine holds a commemoration ceremony in the same place on Wednesday evening.
Funeral and burial ceremony of this martyred cleric will be held on Thursday, April 7. Body of this martyred cleric will be carried on shoulders of people of Mashhad to the holy shrine and will be buried there.
Attending at Emdadi Hospital, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, custodian of Imam Reza holy shrine, visited two wounded clerics and wished for their fast recovery. In his visit with family members of the victims, Marvi gave assurance that the medical team would do its best toward fast recovery of wounded clerics.
