Hawzah News Agency – The iHalal Awards is an initiative that recognizes, awards, and promotes ethical, socially responsible, and sustainable enterprises in the worldwide Halal market, with the goal of creating good role models for others to follow.

Dr. Hani Al-Mazeedi and Mr. Noor Mohammed created iHalal Awards under the auspices of H.E. Mr. hsan VÜT, Secretary General of SMIIC (Standards and Metrology Institute For Islamic Countries).

The Nominations for the following categories will be open for iHalal Awards- 2nd Edition

• Most Creative Marketing Campaign
• Sustainable Islamic Financial Service or Product
• Sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility Halal Project
• Sustainable Social Impact Halal Startup
• Sustainable Halal Service Provider
• Sustainable Halal Brand
• Outstanding Personal Achievement In The Halal Industry

The Criteria of iHalal Awards

1. Organizers, judges, sponsors, accreditation bodies and those directly affiliated including family members are not allowed to be nominated.
2. Nomination is open for all holders of a valid halal certificate unless specifically stated.
3. Halal Certification Bodies can only apply for the ‘Halal Service Provider of The Year’ award category.
4. There must be a minimum number of five valid applications/nominations per award before an award can be given.
5. Between three to twelve globally assigned judges will be assigned to evaluate an award. None shall come from any Halal Certification Bodies to protect impartiality.
6. All applications are subjected to checks by the judges for evidence such as proof through documentations, through interviews, inter alia.
7. In the case of any misunderstandings or disputes or whatsoever, the organizers decision shall be final.

The Awards Process

First the application for these awards will open to all types of Halal businesses, brands & Experts in the Halal Industry. After the application Process is over the applications will be reviewed by the organizing tam and senior experts in the Halal industry. Finally experts from the global Halal Industry will select the iHalal Awards for the year 2022!

Some Important Dates

1. Nomination: Till 30th June 2022

2. Collation of data, segregation and allocation of judges: 1st – 30th July 2022

3. Judging Period: 1st to 7th August 2022

4. Announcement of results: 17th August 2022
