Hawzah News Agency – The statement of His Eminence Al-Sistani's office on the painful bombing of the mosque (Koja Risaldar) in Peshawar, Pakistan:
In the name of Allah, the Merciful (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return)
Dear brothers and sisters in Peshawar, Pakistan (may God Almighty bless them). Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
The painful incident that took place today during the Friday prayer in Kucha Risaldar Mosque and the martyrdom and injury of many innocent worshipers caused great sorrow and grief. While offering condolences to you dear ones and expressing sympathy with the bereaved families, we ask for patience and urgent healing for all the victims and for the martyrs of this painful incident. Najaf Ashraf’s Seminary and the Supreme Shiite Authority condemn this horrible crime that targets the unity of Muslims and urges the Government of Pakistan to take measures to protect the oppressed people from the oppression and crime of terrorist groups and to take necessary preventive measures in this regard and do not allow their religious communities to be subjected to violent and brutal attacks by extremist and cruel groups. We ask Allah Almighty to perpetuate the honor and pride of the honorable people of Pakistan.
