Iran VP calls for developing ties with Cuba to thwart enemies' sanctions

Vice President for Economic Affairs Mohsen Rezaei called for developing cooperation between Iran and Cuba aiming to thwart enemies' sanctions and their conspiracies against resistant nations.

Hawzah News Agency –Rezaei made the remarks in a meeting with Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel.

Referring to the importance of developing cooperation between Tehran and Havana in political, economic, commercial, health, scientific and technological sectors, he stressed the efforts made by the two countries' officials to improve the level of relations.

He underlined developing cooperation between Iran and Cuba in trade, science and technology fields, saying: "Joint cooperation between Iran and Cuba in fighting coronavirus and producing vaccine is a great success in combating enemies' sanctions and conspiracy."

Cuba supports Iran's right to peaceful use of nuclear energy, he said.

He also stressed the efforts made by the Iranian and Cuban officials to develop banking and trade relations.
