Hojjatoleslam Imanipour stressed the importance of developing religious relations between the two countries in the unity of Muslims and its impact on the Islamic world.

Hawzah News Agency –Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour in a meeting with the religious representative of the Turkish Embassy in Tehran, Majid Jan, said hereby I announce the readiness of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization for comprehensive cooperation, especially in translating and publishing religious reference books and providing scientific resources to Turkish scientific and academic centers.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Majid Jan, during a meeting with the head of ICRO, said that Takfiri elements have presented a false image of Islam to the world and called for cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey.

Hojjatoleslam Imanipour, in his opening remarks, pointed to the close relations and fruitful cooperation between ICRO and the Organization of Religious Affairs of Turkey in various cultural and religious areas.

The head of ICRO continued by saying that the Turkish Religious Affairs Organization has an important role in introducing and promoting Islamic knowledge and the boosting spiritual position of Turkey and the Balkan countries, as well as finding talent for researchers and missionaries in Turkey and other countries in accordance with intellectual, social and cultural needs.

Hojjatoleslam Imanipour, referring to the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the ICRO and the Organization of Religious Affairs of Turkey, stressed the need for implementation of the provisions of this memorandum in the field of cultural, educational and religious exchanges and dialogue between the two countries.

He considered historical, cultural, linguistic and religious relations and commonalities as important potentials for Iran-Turkey cooperation and said Iran-Turkey cultural cooperation has been high for many years and the will of the two countries is to maintain this level of communication.

Hojjatoleslam Imanipour stressed the importance of developing religious relations between the two countries in the unity of Muslims and its impact on the Islamic world and expressed hope that we will hear a single voice of merciful Islam in the world.

Majid Jan, the religious representative of the Turkish Embassy in Tehran, for his part wished success for Hojjatoleslam Imanipour, and expressed hope that in the light of his guidance and management of ICRO.

He called for continuing cooperation and strengthening the cultural and religious relations of the Turkish Religious Affairs Organization with the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to develop and expand relations.

Abolhassan Khalaj Monfared, Deputy Head of International Cultural Relations Development of ICRO who also was attending the meeting suggested holding cultural and religious conferences, producing joint movies, interaction and dialogue of religious scholars, and making religious TV programs to introduce the religion of Islam.
