Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Head of Iranian Seminaries Ayatollah Alireza Arafi received head of Georgia's Agency of Religions and his accompanying delegation in the city of Qom on Monday, May 14.
During the meeting, Ayatollah Arafi thanked the government of Georgia for their support for religious minorities in their country.
Head of Iranian Islamic Seminaries further pointed out the developing relationship between Islamic Republic of Iran and Georgia highlighting the need to promote scientific, economic and cultural ties between the two countries in coming years.
Iranian cleric asserted that Iranian authorities have a positive view towards Georgia and expressed hope that mutual ties between the two countries develop in future.
Dean of Al- Mustafa International University added that Qom is considered as a cultural and scientific hub in Islamic world saying, "Al-Mustafa International University aims at promoting interfaith dialogue, especially among Abrahamic religions."
In the end, Ayatollah Arafi expressed Al-Mustafa's readiness to develop scientific and academic affairs in the Republic of Georgia with the support of Georgian government.
