Al-Mustafa University and University of Ruhuna sign MoU

Dean of Al-Mustafa International University met with Vice-chancellor of University of Ruhuna in Qom.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Dean of Al-Mustafa, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi met with Vice-chancellor of University of Ruhuna Prof. Gamini Senanayake in Qom on Sunday, April 29.

 

During the meeting, Ayatollah Arafi presented a report on the activities of Al-Mustafa International University saying, "All religious and academic centers in the world must pay special attention to major issues that mankind is faced within present world."

 

 

 

Dean of Al-Mustafa International University further asserted that A-Mustafa is determined to establish and promote interfaith dialogue among religions as one of its main priorities; "The academic and religious centers, in addition to creating a unified scientific front, need to make serious effort for promoting scientific and cultural ties among nations."

 

 Prof. Gamini Senanayake, Vice-chancellor of University of Ruhuna in Sri Lanka also expressed his willingness to expand cooperation with Al-Mustafa University adding, "My trip to Iran and visit to al-Mustafa International University helped me from a true image of Iran since there's so much negative propaganda against Iran in the Western media."

 

 

 

He noted, "University of Ruhuna is ready to expand its cooperation with Iranian academic centers in a bid to increase its effectiveness in different scientific fields."

 

In the end, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Ayatollah Arafi and Prof. Gamini Senanayake to develop ties between the two academic centers.
