Hawzah News agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with different groups of people in the city of Qom on Tuesday, Shia source of emulation Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani highlighted the importance of fighting against global terrorism, imperialist countries and the colonial powers.

Asserting that arrogant powers are clearly behind Iraqi Kurdistan referendum for independence, the Shia cleric added, "Throughout history, the Imperialist front has always sought to create plots against Islam and the Islamic Republic of Iran."

"The enemy's goal in seceding Iraqi Kurdistan region is to create a second Israel in the region hoping to undermine the integrity of four Islamic countries bordering Kurdistan; the enemy is plotting to destabilize these countries as a means to dominate them."

Grand Ayatollah Noori further said, "We must not allow these vicious plots to be realized in our region; it's absolutely essential that the government officials of all these four neighboring countries act together and take a unified stance regarding this issue."

Reiterating that the battle between the righteous and the wicked has existed throughout history and will continue until the Day of Judgment, the Shia scholar concluded, "Allah almighty does not want the wicked to overcome the righteous; although the infidels have always plotted to defeat the righteous front, but they have not reached any success yet."
