Official: Iran to Promote 50 medical centers for Hajj pilgrims

An Iranian official said that the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) is going to establish 50 medical centers in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina to provide medical services for the Iranian pilgrims during this year Hajj rituals.

Hawzah News Agency - Executive Advisor at Hajj Medical Center affiliated to the IRCS Taher Doroudi, said several teams are involved in taking necessary measures for preparing the society's

medical centers expected to be established at hotels in Mecca and Medina.

Doroudi said the 50 IRCS medical centers will provide service for Iranian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia round the clock.

He noted that besides one hospital in Mecca, at least 90 other clinics are slated to be established in hotels and hostels in the holy city.

Droudi said the IRCS is adopting necessary measures for preparing a hospital and four clinics in Medina.

On July 21, Director General of planning and dispatching Hajj pilgrims of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Kamran Akbari, said 86,500 Iranian pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia by 335

flights.

Each year, in Hajj season, Iranians like other Muslims in the world go to Mecca to make the Hajj pilgrimage.
