Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a farewell ceremony held for the head of the seminary of Qom on Sunday, April 4, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi asserted that all clerics are responsible to preserve the legacy of the Islamic seminary; "This year, more than 20 thousand students registered in the new academic year." said Ayatollah Arafi.
Member of the supreme council of Islamic seminaries further said, "The new management is committed to preserve the legacy of Islamic seminaries; we will not take the achievements and efforts of previous administrations and seminary scholars for granted."
"We are going to make improvements and modifications to our present policies whenever deemed necessary, this is a fixed part of our strategy."
Ayatollah Arafi went on, "All our policies are in line and in accordance with the guidelines of the Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Shia sources of emulation, as well as the supreme council of Islamic seminaries."
It is noteworthy that at the end of the ceremony, head of the Iranian seminaries thanked Hujjat al-Islam Farrokhfal for his years of service as the head of Qom seminary and appointed him as his advisor in Islamic seminary councils' affairs.
