Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Addressing the worshippers in Qom's Friday Prayer this week, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of the Iranian Islamic seminaries, made some remarks on the US' recent strike on Syria saying, "By Allah's grace, the Islamic resistance in the region has been making great victories, but we've also witnesses cruel measures on the part of the enemies as well. The innocent people of Yemen have been under strikes for more than a year now; In Bahrain, the conditions are deteriorating and many people are being stripped of their citizenship."

Ayatollah Arafi went on, "Once again, US committed an illegal intrusion in the affairs of other countries; the new US president is following the footsteps of the ones before him and his policies are also doomed to fail' The US administration launched an illegal missile attack against Syria which was aimed at strengthening the Terrorists' front in the region."

Slamming Donald Trump's rhetoric prior to his election as the new US president, Ayatollah Arafi asserted, "He lied about wanting to pull the United States out of its current problems, he is following the footsteps of the administrations that went before him."
