Hawzah News Agency (Paris, France)-  In a series of joint meetings between scholars from Hamburg Islamic Center and Christian scholars, a new round of interfaith talks are being held at the department of Catholic studies in Paris-Sorbonne University, France in which several prominent Muslim and Christian scholars took part including, Hujjat al-Islam Ramezani, head of the Islamic Scholars' European Community, Dr Jazari, a university professor at Sorbonne as well as Professor Lehogo, head of the department for Catholic studies at the French university.

During the event, Hujjat al-Islam Ramezani delivered his speech on key issues regarding interfaith dialogues in today's world as one of the most necessary components to develop any society.

He said, "Today's world is dealing with religious diversity in terms of Abrahamic religions and these differences in turn cause some problems among people of different faiths. Therefore, the world's religious leaders have come to the conclusion that in order to establish a peaceful coexistence among the followers of different religions, interfaith dialogues must be promoted among them to sort out their differences. "

"In the present world, a return to the original religious teachings and values can play a vital role in every society in order to restore their social moralities and balance. As a matter of fact, the recent interfaith dialogues among world's religious leaders serve the purpose of promoting interactions and religious tolerance in different societies aiming to establish a peaceful cohabitation among followers of different faiths."
