China: Xinjiang, home to Uyghur Muslims, sees Covid-19 infection rise

Of 14 new cases in the country, nine were indigenous and all of them were reported in northwestern Xinjiang, home to the ethnic Uyghur Muslim community, China’s National Health Commission said in its daily briefing .
