Hawzah News Agency- Shaikh Salam al-Nasiri, Head of the Alawi Research and Studies Group at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, told the Shrine’s News Center: “The delegation included a number of heads of departments from the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and was led by Shaikh Ali Al-Qar’awi, Head of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department. It presented an encyclopedia documenting the crimes of the terrorist groups Al-Qaeda and ISIS in Iraq. The encyclopedia contains more than fifty volumes and was prepared within the framework of cultural cooperation and documentation between the two holy shrines.”
He added: “This encyclopedia is the result of extensive efforts to collect documents, oral testimonies and information related to the crimes of terrorist groups in Iraq.” He explained that the collection relies on documents and reports published by the two groups, as well as oral testimonies from victims of terrorism and their families in a number of Iraqi provinces, including Nineveh, Saladin, Anbar and Diyala. In addition, volumes of the collection are dedicated to documenting material published in the media, international satellite television channels and news websites about these crimes.
During the visit, two copies of the documentary encyclopedia of ISIS terrorist crimes in Iraq were presented; one copy was donated to the Haydariyah Sanctuary Library and the other to the Office of the Custodianship of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine. This step is part of strengthening cultural and intellectual cooperation and providing documentary resources that contribute to preserving historical memory.
