Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Abdul Majid Hakimollahi, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in India, met and held talks with Brahama Vihari Swami, the international spokesman of a global religious and social organization and the head of the organization's Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of the "2026 World Summit of the New Delhi Television Network."
Iran's Representative in India Emphasizes Peace and Interfaith Dialogue
During the meeting, the two religious clerics exchanged views on the role of religions in spreading global peace, strengthening interfaith dialogue, promoting mutual respect, and paving the way for peaceful coexistence among followers of different religions and cultures.
Emphasizing the necessity of expanding understanding and cooperation among nations, the two sides stated that achieving lasting peace in the world requires replacing confrontation and division with dialogue and constructive engagement, respecting one another's views, and paying attention to shared human values.
Later in the meeting, Brahama Vihari Swami, expressing affection and goodwill toward Iran and its people, stated that he always prays for Iran and its people.
The two sides also emphasized the important responsibility of religious leaders and religious communities in bringing religions, cultures, and civilizations closer together, and considered empathy, justice, mutual understanding, and respect for human dignity to be among the fundamental principles for realizing peace and strengthening solidarity in human societies.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of continuing communication and dialogue among leaders of different religions was emphasized. In the view of both sides, the continuation of such interactions can play an effective role in consolidating peace and expanding peaceful coexistence in the world by reducing misunderstandings and differences, strengthening the spirit of solidarity, and expanding friendly relations among different communities.
