Kashmiri Cleric: Saudi Regime Does Not Represent Islam

A prominent Kashmiri cleric has criticized the performance of the Saudi government, stressing that it cannot be considered a representative of Islam and its original teachings, and that corruption among the country's rulers is evident.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Hadi Mousavi, a Kashmiri cleric, criticized the positions of certain Islamic countries regarding developments in Yemen and Palestine, and stressed the need for Muslim unity and solidarity, the resolution of differences in the Islamic world, and support for the Palestinian people.

Referring to ongoing developments in the Islamic world, he examined the situation in Yemen, divisions among Islamic currents, and the approach of certain Muslim countries to regional crises, calling for serious efforts to establish peace, reduce tensions, and strengthen solidarity among Muslims.

Seyyed Mohammad Hadi Mousavi, addressing divisions in Yemen, said that major Islamic countries and influential figures in the Islamic world had a duty to work, based on the teachings of the Holy Quran, to mend relations between the warring parties and establish peace and reconciliation.

Criticizing the performance of certain Islamic countries, he added that their approach, instead of reducing differences and paving the way for understanding, has led to escalating tensions and deepening divisions in the region.

The Kashmiri cleric went on to criticize the silence and inaction of certain Islamic countries in the face of crimes against the Palestinian people, referring to the killing of civilians and the continuation of attacks in Palestine.

Stressing the need to support the Palestinian people, he said that while Palestinians face widespread killing, violence, and destruction, certain Islamic countries have failed to play an effective and worthy role in supporting this oppressed nation.

Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Hadi Mousavi also referred to the reaction of certain Islamic countries to the actions of Yemen's Ansarullah, noting that while the Palestinian people face widespread attacks, Yemen's defensive positions have met with harsh reactions from some Muslim countries.

He stressed that the right to defend oneself against attack cannot be ignored, and that regional developments must be examined by taking into account the contexts, conditions, and dimensions of each event.

In another part of his remarks, the speaker criticized the performance of the Saudi government, stressing that it cannot be considered a representative of Islam and its original teachings, and claiming that corruption among the country's rulers is evident.

In conclusion, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mohammad Hadi Mousavi called on Muslims to follow the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), and stressed the need to preserve unity, strengthen solidarity, and avoid divisions.

He also called on scholars of different Islamic schools and denominations to work with a greater sense of responsibility to expand fraternal relations, strengthen convergence, and reduce differences among Muslims.

The Kashmiri cleric noted that in the current conditions of the Islamic world, unity and harmony among Muslims and joint cooperation to resolve differences are of particular importance. According to him, religious scholars can play an effective role, relying on the teachings of the Holy Quran and the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), in reducing tensions, strengthening Islamic unity, and confronting the challenges facing the Islamic Ummah.
